In addition to 21 main cast roles, almost half of the inhabitants of Oberammergau enact
with great devotion the story of Jesus whose message gives billions of
people hope and strength. The unique mass scenes are one of a kind and a must-see!
The Cast
They do not pretend to be professional actors.
They see themselves merely as cast members.
They all have ‘normal' jobs.
Their only reward is the honour of playing an important role in the Passion Play.
And they all were born in Oberammergau or have lived there for at least 20 years.
