Where can I buy 1 or 2 night packages for the play?: You can purchase those packages with a tour operator, see the section "How to book".

You may also purchase a package directly with the Oberammergau Passion Play office.
For more information, please go directly to the order form and the corresponding price list.

Please send your order form directly to the Oberammergau Passion Play office either by post or by fax.

You will receive the confirmation of your reservation via email within 14 days. Please note that in the meantime the Passion Play office cannot answer queries regarding availability of packages via phone or email.
In case the Passion Play office won't be able to meet your wishes you will be contacted for alternative dates or categories.
Is it possible to buy tickets only?: At the moment tickets only are sold out.
Where do I get information on the availability of packages?: Please contact the Passion Play office in Oberammergau directly via email: info@passionsspiele2010.de.

However, please note that they cannot answer any queries regarding the availability of packages in advance.
Please send an order form with your desired dates to the Oberammergau Passion Play office. They will do their best to meet your wishes.
Whom can I contact when I have questions regarding my booking?: All questions regarding booking and payment issues of Passion Play packages can be answered by the Passion Play office in Oberammergau via email: info@passionsspiele2010.de.
Are tickets available for sale on the day of performance?: There is a same day market. However, it is not recommendable to buy tickets on the day of the performance. The Oberammergau Passion Play office does only sell tickets on the same day if there was a short term cancellation of tickets. Therefore, please contact the ticket box at the Passion Play theatre on the performance date.
What are the dates of the Passion Play in 2010?: The play will be performed from May 15th 2010 till October 3rd 2010.

Is it allowed to take photographs during the performance?: No, it is not allowed to take photographs during the performance. Video recording is not allowed either.
In what language is the Passion Play performed?: The Passion Play in Oberammergau is performed in German only.

However, all guests receive a textbook for the play which is available in German, English and Swedish.
Will there be hearing devices for English translation?: There won't be any hearing devices for English translation.

What is the best way to get from Munich to Oberammergau and vice versa?: The best option would be to rent a car from Munich and drive to Oberammergau and back.

There is also a train connection from Munich to Oberammergau - however, please note this train connection might be inconvenient, especially late at night, as the play ends at around 10.30 pm.
Only on Saturdays there is a direct train connection from Oberammergau to Munich.
Is there a shuttle service provided from Oberammergau to the surrounding villages?: Yes, a free of charge shuttle service will be provided within Oberammergau and to the neighbouring villages Ettal and Unterammergau.
In the village of Oberammergau you may also use the shuttle (i.e. for transfer from the theatre to your restaurant). The stops in the village will be announced later on.

For the villages of:

Bad-Bayersoien / Bad-Kohlgrub / Oberau / Wurmansau / Saulgrub Aura Hotel / Garmisch-Partenkirchen / Farchant / Murnau - there will be a bus service for a fee of € 10 (return).
Is there a railway or bus connection to Oberammergau?: The German Railway (DB) will be offering a connection to Oberammergau from the villages of Murnau, Bad Kohlgrub, Saulgrub, Altenau and Wurmansau. The last train will leave Oberammergau at about 11:15 pm.

On Saturdays there will be a direct connection between Oberammergau and Munich. Train tickets are not included in the packages.

Between Oberammergau and the towns of Farchant, Garmisch-Partenkirchen and Bad Bayersoien there will be a public bus connection.
However, please note that the bus ticket is not included in the package either.
Are there parking facilities provided in Oberammergau?: Two big parking lots will be available outside of Oberammergau for your private or rental car.

Please use the shuttle bus from the parking lot to the centre of Oberammergau.
Where can I find a list of restaurants in Oberammergau?: Please find a list including all of Oberammergau's restaurants in the Gastronomy Guide.

If you would like to dine at one of these restaurants during the Passion Play break, making a reservation is recommendable.
Is there the possibility to have a babysitter during the Passion Play performance?: Yes, a babysitter is available on request (at your own expenses).

Early next year, there will be more information provided on this topic.
If I need help during my stay in Oberammergau, whom can I ask?: Local hostesses will be pleased to help you in any matter, whether you need help or information.
Are there special facilities for disabled visitors?: Wheel chair seats are available upon request at the ticket box at the theatre. Your original ticket will be changed at the Passion Play theatre accordingly.

By presenting your disability ID (handicap over 80%) you will get a refund of 50% of the net ticket rate (excluding the advance booking fee) at the ticket box.

An induction loop for deaf aids is available on all seats.

Is there a possibility of camping in Oberammergau or the surrounding area?: The campsite "Camping-Park Oberammergau" is situated on the outskirts of Oberammergau.

Two other campsites are close to the village of Oberammergau:

Will there be a new picture book on the Passion Play 2010 published?: Yes, there will be a new Passion Play 2010 book published around end of April, beginning of May in German. The book will be published in English shortly afterwards.
